LEXAPRO - WHEN TO EXPECT RELIEF?
avatar
onecat posted:
Hello:
77 yr old -sudden onset of severe anxiety/depression ...onset was after of several months of personal upheaveals (but did function without problem) .Final 'straw' was thereafter being advised of possible surgical procedure (TUR) that 'may not be necessary' - just that he's now a 'candidate' (quote/unquote)
Has now been six weeks after being put on 10mg Lexapro; no relief then upped after several weeks to 20mg. Has periods of 'relief' but not 'sustained' but finally yesterday had full day (!) of relief .
Is 6 wks of Lexapro 'enough' time to expect results ? or is it a matter of ''one step forward/two steps back until ongoing relief is achieved ? thanks in advance -
