moldy cheese!

MyRain posted:
So I decided to have a snack. Slammed down a piece of sharp cheddar (orange). Then decided to have a piece of mild cheddar (white). What is this green stuff on there?? Mold! So now I'm wondering if the sharp cheddar also had mold on it and I didn't notice it. Will it make me sick?

Myrain, after further review, some mold is good and some bad, but they recommend you cut it off the cheese before you eat it. Hopefully you would have noticed the mold on the orange cheddar cheese as you noticed on the white cheese

Did you eat a lot of the cheese?

Thank you N! Wow - you went beyond the call in researching for me! No, I did not eat that much, luckily. I would like to think I would've noticed it on the orange but who knows? I threw the white one away - did not want to mess around with it! I have not gotten sick, so I am hopeful I won't.
My day has been just ok. Still doing ok on the food thing (except of course for the topic at hand!). Still not feeling great and tried to take a nap earlier but it seemed that everything was conspiring against me - couldn't get to sleep from such things as noise from small planes flying overhead, loud motorcyles, etc. Had to get up and clean! All that said, I'm doing ok. How has your day been?

niteflier replied to MyRain's response:
hi myrain, glad you didn't eat much of the cheese. As for the noise, yell out the window and tell everyone to knock it off!!!!!! Hate your not yet feeling great and hope the crud leaves you soon.

I am also glad you are doing ok on the food thing - proud of you - i will start looking closer at my cheese now.....

I have been trying to keep myself busy as everything has been trying to close in on me. doing laundry and looking up topics on line like 'moldy cheese'(lol). Dont feel like going out. I woke up this morning remembering what I posted last night, still not sure how I feel about that.

aside from a few panic attacks and feeling like eeore(no sh), it has been an ok day.

Got a smile out of me - pcituring myself yelling out the window. Bet my neighbors would get a kick out of that!
Yes, one good thing is that everyone who reads this thread will pay closer attention to their cheese!
Sorry you feel like things are closing in on you. Sounds like you've made it thru the panic attacks and feeling gloomy. We are survivors!
Hugs and best wishes for a peaceful night.

MyRain replied to niteflier's response:
Well, I have an older lady next to me, and unless she were right outside (in my yard) I don't think she'd understand what I was saying (she might just hear a commotion if her windows were open). However there is a younger couple on the other side who have a toddler and they are always outside in good weather, so they would definitely notice. One of them is police so I may get taken away... So if you guys don't hear from me you'll know why!
I know, those feelings are persistent. Means we have to be even more persistent in our response to them.
Keep hanging in there please. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

MyRain- don't worry about the cheese, it will help clear the constitution. After all cheese is made with mold. On the yelling, just try to keep it clean and the police won't give you much trouble.

Your right about the persistent feelings, even on busy weekends they try to hang on, and try to come to the front.

have to get ready for work, wishing you all a warm fuzzy day!

True about being made with mold; I just don't want too much mold and am allergic to penicillin!
