How to get help without parents finding out

I really, need to feel better. It's like an endless cycle, feel good, feel horrid, feel neutral with hallucinations. >.> <.< it's not something I want to keep going with. The reason why my parents can't find out Is they think that psychology is 'stupid' (which breaks me down since I study alot of psychology too the point where I can identify symptoms in others, at 14) and that whatever I feel is my fault. They're actually very christain and believe that it's the devil, and I need to get my ore straightened out. Second, they won't help me. I literally got a knife one day and said if you send me to my moms I'll kill myself. if I didn't get therapy then I surely won't get it now. Third. Its because they say they'll send me too a relatives because they can't put up with me. They said if I self-harm, which took me a year to break the habit, anorexic (which I've been, EDNOS, for two years) or suicidal (which I have occasional thoughts) they'll send me off. If I go to a therapist or call a hotline I'm going to get sent to a mental hospital, I won't lie, i belong in one. Im just scared.

hello, B --

i don't understand part of your post. are you not living with your parents? who was it to whom you protested about being sent to your mother's house?

is there a teacher or guidance counselor or other adult whom you trust whom you can tell how terrible you are feeling? a friend's parent? an aunt or uncle who doesn't share your parents' opinion about therapy? your primary-care dr? the dr who used to be your pediatrician?

you say that you believe you belong in a mental hospital. i have no idea whether or not you belong in a hosp, and i have no idea whether or not you would get sent to one, but i am sure that if you are having hallucinations, you need to get help somewhere -- and quickly. you must tell anyone whose help you want that you are having hallucinations.

i know you don't want to hear this, but eventually you will have to tell your parents. they are the ones who will have the easiest time getting help for you. if you have another adult you trust, perhaps that person could be with you when you talk to your parents. or maybe you would allow that person to call your parents for you.

two other ideas --

-- first, if there is a local/county/state dept of health or family services or any place that has jurisdiction over minors, try calling there.

-- second, if there is an organization or agency that provides help for runaways or kids who live on the street, try calling there. you are not a runaway or living on the street, i hope, but the organizations who deal with services for minors will have an excellent idea of what resources might be available to you.

finally, if none of these suggestions pans out, go to http://forums.webmd.com/3/depression-exchange/forum/6522 , which has a list of resources for finding free/low-cost medical care, including counseling. that will give you some places to look for help. if anyone you call can't help you because you are a minor, ask them if they know of anyone else you could call.

i send you caring thoughts and hope you will keep us posted on how you are doing. please tell your parents about how you are feeling; they need to know.

I don't have any advice to add because Susie Margaret covered it all. I just wanted to say my heart goes out to you and I hope you can get the help you need. Sometimes religion can give folks strange opinions about mental illnesses. I want you to get help as soon as you can, and please let us know how you are doing.
