You've come to a good place. People here are supportive and non-judgemental, and you can vent and have others who understand your feelings.
How long have you been trying to conceive? Are you looking into testing to see if there are any fertility problems?
I would say definitely work on getting your depression under control, perhaps the stress is making it harder to get pregnant. Have you talked to your MD or gotten any counseling yet?
Hope you can have some good times ahead of you soon.

HI there, you have defiantly come to the right place. Everyone here is so supportive and loving.

I am sorry you are feeling so bad right now. I too can relate, I have/had a self confidence level of zero for as long as I can remember. The one thing that has helped me is my amazing husband. He is so loving and supportive and doesn't care what I look like. When we met, 18 years ago I was a skinning little high school girl. I am no such thing anymore, after three kids my weight is not good but he loves me anyway and that is all I care about.

I had a tough time with my first conceiving as well. One thing that helped me was to sit a relax, I know it isn't easy, I was having a hard time my depression back then so relaxing wasn't the easiest thing but as soon as I did. I was pregnant in no time.

I know this probably isn't helping but I just wanted you to know I know exactly how you feel and what you are going though and will be here for you for support if you want it.

Hugs,
Lis

hello, B --

i am so sorry you and your husband have been unable to conceive; altho i am childless, and therefore cannot pretend to understand the depth of your frustration and heartache, i can recognize despair when i see it.

let me suggest that you might also get some emotional support and good advice from the "trying-to-conceive" community, http://exchanges.webmd.com/infertility-and-reproduction-exchange . in addition and altho the traffic in some of these communities seems to be somewhat erratic, you might want to take a look into --

-- the "trying-to-conceive/friends-talking" community, http://exchanges.webmd.com/trying-to-conceive-friends-talking-exchange ,

-- the "trying-to-conceive/12-mos/still-trying" community, http://exchanges.webmd.com/trying-to-conceive-12-months-still-trying-exchange ,

-- the "trying-to-conceive/6-mos/still-trying" community,
http://exchanges.webmd.com/trying-to-conceive-6-months-still-trying-exchange , and

-- the infertility treatment community, http://exchanges.webmd.com/infertility-treatment-exchange .

are you working with a fertility clinic or a gynecologist, or seeing a counselor? you might be able to find an in-person support group thru one of those sources.

finally, altho i am relatively sure that you have done most of this research already, you might want to skim thru the first two sections of the "getting pregnant" info, http://www.webmd.com/baby/guide/default.htm ; these cover "preparing for pregnancy" and "improving your fertility."

just because i listed some other communities where you might find support does not mean that you should stop writing here. we are all here to help each other, we have all had some experience with depression so we know what you are talking about (we "get it"), and we do not judge. you should write here as often as you want/need to; we want to hear from you.

i send caring thoughts to you and your husband and hope you will keep us posted on how the two of you are doing.
