Having a bad day!

totalyfedup posted:
Hi, Well not a bad day actually a few bad days in a row, I know I am in a funk, but once in awhile I do have good days. I have posted about some days I cannot leave my apartment, I have been having to many of those days. I have no one to turn to right now and I don't feel like calling the crisis line, I just don't have the energy.
I am a complete neat freak and I don't care that I have a couple of dust bunnies here and there, and for me not to want to clean, I know that there is something wrong.

tfu,
I'm sorry you've been in such a bad way.
Please call the crisis line, if you've been thinking about it, then you most likely need to call. Why not just make a quick call to them? They're there to help you.
I know for me the housework is the first thing to go, too, so don't feel too bad. Just take care of you, ok? And keep posting. We want to know how you are.

Hi a_m, I know you are right I should call the crisis line and I know this sounds silly bit I feel like a bother, I also have really bad anxiety on top of this and I just can't leave my apartment again. it is what I call my safe place. Maybe a little too safe.
I will see how I feel tomorrow and if it's just as bad I will call the crisis line.
Thank-You for being here for me, it really does help.

hugs,

hello, T --

believe me, the crisis line, http://www.webmd.com/help/crisis-resources?printing=true , will not consider you "a bother." that's what they are there for -- people who need to talk.

i understand completely the thing about noticing that you don't want to clean even tho housecleaning is usually important to you. altho i am no great shakes as a housecleaner, i do notice when i fail to empty the trashcans, can't seem to get the dishes from the sink into the dishwasher, let laundry pile up on the floor of the closet, etc., etc. that is, i notice these things, but i also notice that i'm not doing anything about them.

sometimes noticing these lapses is the first thing that alerts me that i'm not really feeling all that well. i'm totally out of touch with my emotions, so i don't register that i feel awful, but when i observe what i am (not) doing, all of a sudden it dawns on me -- oh, i see the problem, i'm not feeling so great!

tonight i noticed that i've been feeling extremely tired for the last several days even tho i've been concentrating on going to bed early because i've had a bunch of dr apptmts scheduled. so why don't i go to bed early tonight? good Q! i'm just not ready, i guess, plus i know i have nothing scheduled for tomorrow, so i don't really have the incentive.

well, that's enough rambling for now. i hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi sm,I am feeling a little better today, I was able to do some cleaning?
I have noticed that I am having more bad days than goods ones, and I didn't know if this was "normal" but then reading others posts I am not the only one that feels this way.
How are you doing today?

I'm glad today is better for you, tfu.
Yeah sometimes you do have more bad days than good, but I would be in close contact with your doc about that. Maybe he needs to adjust your medication.
Keep posting, we want to know how you're doing! And I second what SM said, that's what the crisis folks are there for. You're NOT a bother!
At the same time, I understand how you feel, I know I would approach that as, "Well, I don't have it as bad as most of the people that are probably calling that number, so I should let them get first priority." Don't worry about that...just worry about yourself and getting the help you need.

hello, T --

i can see that it is three weeks since i've looked at this thread; i'm not quite sure what happened except that i've been out of commission for a while and am just now catching up. i'm sorry i've missed your interim messages!

i am doing better (well, better than i was, anyway) and hope your good days are now outnumbering your bad ones. that's basically how i keep track overall of how i am doing -- more or fewer good days than bad? right now i am very grateful that the good ones are winning.

i send you caring thoughts.
