Well went to the first appointment. Nice lady, nice person so far. Just a get to know you session, historical overview. I had typed an outline of life so far. Just the low lights. Also gave copy of "writings", that will be interesting to she how she responds. Next session to set goals, and objectives, just going to be monthly. Hopefully we can get through a few sessions before she thinks I need incarcerated again.

Hey Demons, sounds like a positive session, glad you like her as it halves the battle!! Well done for going prepared with writings, that has to be beneficial and will certainly help her come up with ideas to discuss in planning session.
As for realising your need to be locked up, I think that is all of our worst fears - lol
Are you tired after the session, I find them exhausting and always have to head to work afterwards, hoping to change time in September, but sure I will probably be too tired to give it anything if after a days work!!
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily....... Zig Ziglar

Chez1, after sleeping for most of the past 9 days, I don't feel tired at all. Today wasn't much, just a historical review. You're right getting locked back is a real fear. Been there done that, didn't even get a t-shirt. After all - you get to sign all types of waivers if they do. It did feel good going to see someone. I said the only problem I see, is your to darn young. Just kidding of course. She said she just looks young and we chuckled.

    Hey D,
Assuming you are over that flu thing you had (sorry, I've been offline a little while). So glad you were able to have the appt with the therapist. Do you have a good gut feeling for her - does she feel like a safe person to talk to?

MyRain, glad to see you! It was bronchitis with a reaction to the antibiotics. Not a nice reaction, either.

She doesn't seem threatening or dominating but was very focused on getting to goals and objectives at our next session. So far so good, we'll see how it works out.
