So this is sort of poignant, I thought. Bittersweet maybe?
I agree with this very much, even though it's kind of sad.

hi Joy,
this picture defines exactly what we go through, you are right it is sad. At therapy yesterday I told the psych that I will never again share my experiences with friends, not only do I not want to see them sad or overwhelmed, I would like to be listened to and not judged. Saying that, I am also aware at times that I am thankful that they can't understand, as I wouldn't want anyone to be able to get into my head and understand it, I would not put that onto my worst enemy!
People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily....... Zig Ziglar

It's strange. I feel that way about MY feelings sometimes, but I'd hate to think a friend or loved one felt THEY couldn't talk to me because I might not understand. I don't know. I guess I don't understand why I feel the way I do a lot of the time so I'd be surprised if anyone else did.

My thought is that I feel that everyone has certain things they feel they can't share with others. We have a part of ourself we keep private, probably because we feel others may not understand and don't want to risk feeling hurt by exposing our private selves only to have that part be rejected, or worse, ridiculed. So even among non-depressed people I think this is true. Probably anyone who has experienced a tragedy would also have those kinds of feelings.

I agree with this too. There are just some situations in life that someone who hasn't experienced it CAN NOT truly understand your feelings. It's sad. They shouldn't judge but they do.
So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.
