    Possible Depression? Something else?
    displaced83 posted:
About 2 months ago, I was involved in a car accident. The accident was my fault and I was the only one hurt (I rear ended someone). The thing is, it totaled my car. Ever since the accident I have changed. I just stopped caring about things. My marriage was/is falling apart, and I just got tired of dealing with it. I ended up leaving and telling my husband he could have everything, including our bird. I go to work only so I can afford to pay my bills and buy food. I find myself doing and saying things I normally wouldn't do. I've thought about dropping everything and disappearing, leaving everyone and everything I know behind. I'm just so sick of everything! I don't like feeling this way and I'm not sure if maybe I should look into counseling? It's to a point I don't care what happens to me (ending up homeless/dead/whatever). Please help!

You definitely have severe depression and need treatment right away. It sounds like you have situational depression over your failed marraige that counseling would help. And you also have a chemical imbalance that needs medication. The reason I say the latter, is because you are so depressed that you are thinking about dying. Get help right away. Even go to the hospital and tell them how you are feeling. You are worth it even though you don't feel anything for yourself right now. It is the illness. Please get help. Sara
