Depression

Im worried about my mother whom is 74 and my brother is dieing of cancer..we got back from a visit last week and for the last 3 days she says she has zero energy, body aches and headaches....is this depression or should I be concerned of something else

I forgot to say that my mother has been sleeping non-stop during these last 3 days

Impossible to tell, but it certainly _could_ be depression. It could also be the flu. Or overwork. Or malnutrition. Or a whole host of other things. It's very stressful to have a family member that's dying, she may feel hopeless. I hope she's showed some signs of life since then. Does she seem unusually sad, or does she have other symptoms?
