How does depression start? Absurd question? I was always positive, good attitude, had nice goals and dreams and suddenly I lack interest in everything... I'm too embarrassed to tell anyone how I feel...there are days I feel drained, no motivation, want to be alone...cry out of the blue...how has everyone coped with these feelings? What do you do to make things better?

Has there been tragedy in your life? Have you discovered huge disappointments, lost faith in mankind and don't see the point anymore to continue.....No wait that's me.
I cry as my heart goes out to abused and neglected souls and there doesn't seem to be anything I can do to help. I don't want to suppress these feelings though. I love too much not to feel sad.
Other people seem to be bothered more by my depression than I am. But when feelings get to be too much, exercise is the best medicine for me. Lots of it....Lots and lots of it. Not only to get the endorphins but to stop the chatter in my head. Meditation is a big help too. Calms the inner blues and stimulates my creative side.

I need to find energy to exercise....I need to go out and have conversations with people and live my life....but I feel drained...things never go my way...it's frustrating....family makes fun of me... They are joking, but it hurts me.... I just want to hide
