I really need someones help. Just tonight after years of pain, I've told my mom that I believe I have depression. I'm truly scared. To get by in life I have my friends and family. All I've had lately is my friends, I need my family back again. I think this all might ruin my family. I feel like it's all my fault. Is there someplace I can call. Email. Anything. I need my family to make me whole again.

Hi Kaitlin,

I'm afraid few will respond to your post here because you didn't post it as a discussion and others may not see it.

You may want to post your own discussion to reintroduce yourself to the community.

You haven't ruined your family by telling your mom you have depression. It's good you have your friends' support and you took a big step to rebuilding that connection with your family. You also may want to talk with your medical provider and look for further resources, support groups in your area, etc.

And if you need help tonight, call a crisis line .

Start with your family and friends but I agree with the others you need to talk to a doctor very soon. You may need therapy or you may just need some medication. Both are very helpful. It's hard to talk about being depressed but remember that depression can be fixed and does pass.

We all care about you and I'm sure your family and friends do too, however, if a person has no experience with depression it is hard for them to understand how to help.

A doctor or therapist is your best bet

Best to you, write us back, we want to hear from you.
