    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Sugar Scrubs

I started using a new sugar scrub and was wondering, does the skin absorb the sugar? Is it possible to increase sugar levels by using this product? Also, since I have type 2 diabetes, my joints ache and I was wondering about the benefits of Glucosamine Chondritin, does this contain sugar as well? I am really afraid of anything that begins with either sugar or glucose.

Mherber: Glucosamine Chondritin capsules don't contain any added glucose. Three capsules have 2 grams of carbohydrates (insignificant). Glucose IS a sugar. In fact, it is the most elemental form of sugar Also, another important point. Remember that all carbohydrates (including fruits and vegetables) are metabolized into glucose for use by the body as energy. Glucose, with the assistance of insulin to allow for absorption into the cells, is the only fuel your body can use. David
