    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Yours in health,

    ATTN: Minimed Quickset Users
    feelinghigh posted:
Minimed Paradigm Insulin Pump Users. If you're a MM Pump User PLEASE watch out for this!!!

I just recieved notice that the tubing comes out where the tubing meets the reservoir leaving users with hyperglycemia. This can lead to DKA if it goes unnoticed.

This is the reference # MMT-399 and LOT # 9201813

If you have these Quickset call Metronics and they will replace them all.

    Oh no, not another recall.
    feelinghigh replied to laura2gemini2's response:
Yeah, ANOTHER! I just hope others with these infusion sets catch the problem without going into DKA.
    laura2gemini2 replied to feelinghigh's response:
Last time there was a recall I had to beg my CDE for a few lines to get me through till I got my replacements.

I did want to add that some get their supplies from distributers (I use a company partnered with my heath insurance) and they are the ones that have to give the replacements. If you get your lines from a pharmacy, go to them first and see if they are the ones sending out the good ones. If not, then they will have all the info on who to call.

(and funny thing, I just got that recall notice at my job, and a warning that call volume may increase tonight and tomorrow)

do you have a link or reference email? usually the company sends out a letter. the last recall I can find on their website was from July 2009 paradigm recall&btnG=Search

I would suspect most of these sets would be expired by now anyhow
