I'm sure Michelle will be on here sometime soon, and will let David know. Thanks, Barb! I don't know if he's taking many phone calls right now, as he has only a few minutes an hour when he can be upright. This must be very hard for him, as he loves his sports games, which he can listen to, and not see right now.
I'll post your good wishes to Michelle.

I'll be sure to pass along everyone's good wishes when I talk to David. I'll probably give him a call tomorrow morning.

Tell DH Gomer I said hi and get better soon!

Some people can do everything right and still have problems.

mhall6252 replied to arealgijoe's response:
I spoke to David this morning and he is doing OK. He purchased some specialized equipment so he can sit in a chair with his face down (like when having a chair massage) and it has a mirror so he can reflect the tv screen. He did get to watch the Jayhawks basketball games, so that takes some of the pain out of this. He also got a specialized u-shaped pillow for sleeping, which helps him maintain the proper face-down position.

He goes back to the specialist late Wednesday. Hopefully, the macular hole will be closed or at least smaller and maybe he'll soon be able to "look ahead."

phototaker replied to mhall6252's response:
I'm so glad he can at least watch t.v. now. I pray that the hole will be closed at his new doctor visit.
phototaker replied to phototaker's response:
Hmmm...that last sentence didn't sound too good. know, the hole in his eye.
Caprice_WebMD_Staff replied to mhall6252's response:
Thanks for the latest update, MIchelle. I'm so glad he's got some things to help him through this and look forward to hearing how his Wednesday appointment goes. Crossing my fingers and toes.
cookiedog replied to Caprice_WebMD_Staff's response:
Please tell David I am hoping for a complete recovery! I'm glad he can at least watch TV.
