Its Memorial Day so it must be Monday........Ha Ha

Welcome to our newbies here. We have a weekly check-in for EVERYONE to share how you and yours are doing.

How was your week?

What does this week have in store? (and Dr apts, tests, or just you and yours etc)

We had a storm RIP thru here yesterday and lost power for about 5 hrs??

Today I slep in, and going to have the kids, their wives and grandson over later. Gonna be traditional, hot dogs, hamburgers etc on the grill, ie a day OFF! Then Tue it will be back to normal stuff.

I spent the vast majority of the last week either on the sofa or in bed to allow my eye surgery to heal. I did venture out on Monday (5/23) to see the surgeon for a post-op follow-up. And I did spend one hour at my best friend's house for a family BBQ on Saturday to celebrate his birthday.

Today and the rest of the week is uneventful. Nothing planned. I do have to take the trash to the curb on Wednesday!!! Pretty exciting, huh.

I never did say that you can't be a nice guy and win. I said that if I was playing third base and my mother rounded third with the winning run, I'd trip her up. - Leo Durocher

Not much going on here. Thought about cooking out, but I just don't want to deal with the heat. Seems the older I get the more the heat bothers me for some reason. Not going to complain though...cuz all I did all winter was complain about how cold it was, dont like to be cold either.

No appointments till the 13th. Should be going over all the test results then and see where I am with the kidney disease and what needs to be done at this point. I've got a list going of things I want to ask...have to write it down or I'll forget.

For the rest of the week....just some peace and quiet and time spent with family...usual household stuff, nothing special going on.

Hi All,
I was really busy all week, volunteered to take photos for a community volunteer awards' ceremony, swimming, lunch, and out to see "Bridesmaids" with a friend, haircut, hearing a friend's band and coffee with the girls, went to a local festival in town and bbq afterwards, taking photos again at the winery of wildflowers, and today, just RESTING! I worked on some photos I took at the Victorian fashion show and sent those out to people in the show.
I finally found their e-mail addresses.

Today is looking up information on the net for my remodel on a smaller stuff like a new bathtub and fixtures for the shower. I already picked out tile for the wall and floor. Then, I'm JUST resting.

A heartfelt thanks to all our service men and women for all they have done for us and still doing. My son was in the Marines. Thank you.

My week is again very busy -

Thurs I see my colon surgeon for follow up since the repair - and a release for neck surgery.

Friday more PT - Sat and Sun will be cleaning up my house and getting ready for surgery on Monday.
