How was your weekend? I'm licking my wounds from two disappointing games - Los Angeles hockey and basketball teams were no bueno!

I am getting ready to google "looking at a solar eclipse " so we can go outside and experience the event - supposed to take place around 5:30 pm Sunday evening here in California.

I'm going to challenge myself to go to yoga every day this week - taking a 1 hour class makes a huge difference and I have not been very consistent. I'm also going to try and make dinner every evening - we've been eating out too much.

How was your weekend? What's coming up for you this week?

We had a crazy busy weekend, taking charge of the grandkids and taking them to do a few fun things.

This week will be crazy busy. I am going to my daughter's house every morning to help her out (she broke her kneecap last weekend). Tomorrow she and I both have appts with the ortho. I'm getting my knees shot with steroids, hopefully, so that I can enjoy walking in Paris - we leave Friday evening for 10 days. And I need to pack and get a few other things taken care of before we head out.

I'll be checking out pictures of the eclipse online - no viewing here in NH.

Hello my weekend was crazy - Fri. A friend of mine that lives 1 1/2 hrs away came in town so I could perm her hair and celebrate my birthday early.

Sat. 8 of us played cards in my house - and they had cake and ice cream I could not eat it - she put Hazelnut in the frosting and in between the layers.

Sunday I made dinner for a friend who finally came home from the Physical Rehab center - she broke her femur bone on Feb 28th.

This week today Mon - I need to have some veins worked on due to blood clots. I have to lay low for 3 days.

Wed. the first of steroid injections in my C7 area of my neck to calm things down.

Sat. my real b'day a friend of mine and I will be going to breakfast, out to Kohl's and other places with the hopes to be back by 1pm to play cards and have a party for my 56th b'day.

This b'day is special to me because most of my family never got to see their 50th b'day due to heart problems, diabetes, drugs and alcohol and/or taking their own life. I am a survivor and plan to live a long life.
I shall wait upon the Lord and renew my strength.

Good morning, everyone.

Brilliantly sunny in WNY and 68 degrees going up to the mid-high 70's. We have had salubrious weather for the past week or so.

This past weekend was nice. On Saturday we had breakfast and then lunch with our dear friend Sande. She helped us get some cleaning done in our house. On Sunday we relaxed all morning and then went outside into the back yard for a while. I cheered on my wonderful wife as she did some weeding in our gardens and planted 7 plants - 6 evening blooming primroses and one Johnny Jump-Up. I sprinkled the Osmocote (fertilizer) and watered. It felt good to be outside enjoying our gardens again.

My wife has been on vacation from work since last Sunday. We mostly relaxed and did errands and most of the activity was this past weekend. She returns to work at 1:00 pm today.

Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 pm this week my wife and I have physical therapy. I decided to have my wife's dpt (doctor of physical therapy) evaluate me and see if there can be any help and hope. Turns out there is and they will start me working in their beautiful pool for the next few weeks. I am hoping to achieve lower chronic pain levels and more functionality.

Have a blessed and marvelous Monday and wonderful week, friends.

I told her that we all check in and she asked if I would share a pic of her completed diorama...introducing - the Squirrel Monkey:

Thanks Dave!

I can't take credit for the diorama - that was 100% dad. But I will take 50% credit for the kid - ha, ha!
