How are you knees doing from the injections?

Also I will be praying for your trip for you and your family. I know you are leaving Friday evening but there is always so much prep work before. Please have a safe and memorible trip. Deb

Hi Deb and Haylen,

My knees feel fantastic! And surprisingly, I never tested above 130, so I was pleasantly surprised. The xrays were ugly with the left knee being really bad; and if the steroids wear off in a few months, I'll go back for the Synvisc injections. I don't think I'll ignore the pain in the future...life is too short to be in pain if you don't have to be!

We are almost all packed, the fridge is empty, and all we have to do tomorrow morning is pack up the toiletries, drugs and electronics. Our flight leaves Boston at 5:30, we arrive in Paris at about 6:30 a.m. My daughter broke her kneecap right after her college graduation so we have a wheelchair for her. It will be a fabulous trip, nothing is going to get in the way!

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers, we will be safe and the trip will definitely be memorable!

Hugs,
Michelle

Deb - she's in an "immobilizer" and on crutches. It's a big foam contraption with velcro straps, so she can take it off when she's not up and about, and when she showers.

I'll be using my blog for Paris trip updates and pictures. I am so excited I can hardly stand myself...LOL!

When my son broke his knee cap in half being only 8 they put him in a full leg cast but he found away to wiggle out of it so the had to put one on that didn't have the foot attached, so it went from his ankle to thigh until he had surgery. Kids what can I say.

Best of luck to you all and again have FUN. I will read your blog to follow your trip. See ya soon. Deb
