Q re new privacy policy here
hootyowl2 posted:
I havent had time to pop in here much lately, but I was wondering does anyone have a link where I could opt out of the "custom" ads that were mentioned ? I really do not want them. Another forum I visit has a link on the page to check their privacy policy, and for opting out of their custom ads. I havent found any such beast here on this page yet.

do you use firefox? there are some add-ons that allow you to bypass ads (like adblock)
hootyowl2 replied to Anon_74671's response:
No, I do not use Firefox. IE 9 has ad blocking options, however, some of the forums I go to require them to be unblocked for certain functions. As far as I know you can not pick and chose which sites to block ads and which ones to allow them. The site here has a link to opt out of the "personal ads"... I have a different name for them, but whatever.

Hi Hooty,

I'm not sure about an opt out feature but I can check with those who might and get back to you.

Are you finding the ads more intrusive than before the privacy policy switch? Personally, I have not noticed a difference in the site since the change.
