You may want to take some of your favorite recipes or a list of some meals you normally eat and ask if there are suggestions for improving them to fit into your new lifestyle. You may also ask others in the class for some of their favorite healthy meals and get some new ideas.
Hear you on that. They can give you all sorts of charts and graphs and you still get lost. I know I did.
Diane has a great idea. My second class, I finally asked for a little help with some recipes I had. When you make casseroles and soups, how do you figure out how many carbs are in a serving size? Good question to ask someone. You have to be vigilant about serving sizes to figure out how many carbs you might be eating. Sometimes, it's tough.
Ask about a variety of foods. What are good carbs and bad carbs. Remember, there is never a silly or stupid question. We all had to start somewhere.
