I just found out I will be seeing my colon surgeon on Tuesday because I am in need of having to have a colostomy. I need to get things in order and see my PCP. The surgery as my doctor put it will be asap I have no choice.

The surgery I had in 2010 with a 4ft removal of colon just brought me some time.

I will let you know when the surgery will be. Deb
I shall wait upon the Lord and renew my strength.

Deb, I don't post a lot, but do read and feel I know you. I am wishing you the best and hope things go smoothly for you. You deserve it.

Surgery is scheduled for July 10th. I guess in my case it is called an ileostomy because of the lack of colon.

I will go on a 7 week clear liquid diet just before. Now I get all the regular appts. with PCP for the blood work etc.....recoup time is about 6 weeks or longer. Then I have to go and meet with the stoma dr. for training etc.....

Thanks for thinking of me, Deb.
I shall wait upon the Lord and renew my strength.
