We would like to help, but your post was too confusing to me to know where to begin. How old is your daughter? Did a blood test come back with a 5.8 A1c result? Did your daughter have high fasting blood sugar on a regular physical exam? What was the reason for the doctor to run these tests? What "other numbers" came back? Is your daughter thirsty a lot or is she very tired after eating? You probably need to ask your doctor what those numbers mean.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!
