    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

This could or could not be diabetic related but for the past 3 years my blood test has shown a high white blood cell count of 12,500.... I do not believe I have any infections but should I be concerned? Have any of you ever had a HIGH count and what was the number and outcome?

WBC counts and C-Reactive Protein are tests for inflammation, ie. there's a "battle" being waged somewhere in your body (tumors, infections, plaque formation on vessel walls). If it was me, yeah, I'd be "concerned".
Diabetes, inadequately controlled, tends to trash your body's immune system. It opens the door, wide open, for other problems to come into play. So many have said, here, "Well, you don't know how hard it is to control diabetes, exercise and lose weight when you have fibromyalgia, PCOS, Arthritis and Neuropathy at the same time!!!!" ...

Bull! I do know...And, now you know, too.

Jason you need to go see your doctor to find out why you have so high of WBC here is what Mayo Clinic says about this, and it also states to see your doctor.

Seems like your results are high. You definitely need to discuss this with your doctor.
