"English Holiday Tea" tomorrow
flutetooter posted:
I'm up to the challenge. The Historical Society puts on a fund raiser/social event each Christmas season with fancy plateloads of pastries, mini sandwiches, etc. etc. etc. and TEA. We need to go to support a worthwhile group in our small town. SO.... I put a boiled egg and 1 piece of string cheese, and a sandwich sized flat plastic container in a large pocketbook, and enjoy the decorations, music and friends. I drink lots of tea and take home my whole allotment of goodies for DH. It worked last year. I took one bite of the best looking cookie and immediately passed the remainder to my DH. I must add that I do not like sweets anyway -- they make me gag.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!

I love the way you plan ahead for this event and enjoy the activities and tea, then bring home food for your DH. Have fun!
