Teas - Sugar level management
An_255197 posted:
I've learnt about Fortified Kamelia teas ( that have been created as a way to manage sugar levels holistically. Is it true that a variety of herbs and teas when consumed on a regular basis, could help those that are borderline diabetic or pre-disposed to Diabetes?

Curious to know thoughts from all others ....

Sorry, but's not true that herbals will help. The best "holistic" approach is diet (cut carbs) and exercise. It is by far the cheapest and most dependable way to keep glucose under control.

There's some interesting research going on about possible health benefits of green tea, and Kamelia is a type of green tea. However, there are also possible medication interactions with green tea. We often forget that herbal products and teas can have potential negative side effects, and it's a good idea to always check with your physician before you try anything different. ~Lynn @Glucerna
