    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

    Teas - Sugar level management

I've learnt about Fortified Kamelia teas (www.kameliateas.com) that have been created as a way to manage sugar levels holistically. Is it true that a variety of herbs and teas when consumed on a regular basis, could help those that are borderline diabetic or pre-disposed to Diabetes?

Curious to know thoughts from all others ....

Sorry, but nope.....it's not true that herbals will help. The best "holistic" approach is diet (cut carbs) and exercise. It is by far the cheapest and most dependable way to keep glucose under control.

There's some interesting research going on about possible health benefits of green tea, and Kamelia is a type of green tea. However, there are also possible medication interactions with green tea. We often forget that herbal products and teas can have potential negative side effects, and it's a good idea to always check with your physician before you try anything different. ~Lynn @Glucerna
