Raising 'Good' Cholesterol May Cut Heart Risk in Diabetes Patients

Excerpt: Raising levels of HDL "good" cholesterol might play an important role in reducing heart disease and stroke risk in patients with type 2 diabetes, a new study shows.

Do you know your cholesterol numbers? I'm getting fasting blood work done this week and am interested to see my results!

My HDL (good cholesterol) measured yesterday and reviewed with the PCP today was 86.

My LDL (bad cholesterol) was 30.

My triglycerides were 39.

My total cholesterol was 124.

TC/HDL ratio was 1.4.
