This assessment is likely helpful for newly-diagnosed diabetics or those who need a "refresher." I thought it was full of too much advertising for Onglyza (yeah, I know someone has to pay for all this). And I object to the only "obviously correct" answer questioning diet was the one that referred to the ADA recommendation. I'm pretty sure that Dr. Dansinger's reversal diet is not in synch with the ADA.

Overall, it's a good tool.

I was not impressed by ADA recommendations 2 yrs ago when I visited their site for help. the diet at that time recommended was one of low fat, moderate carb. Nothing was in there about low carb or glycemic index of foods. It seems like to me for a group that needs to be on the cutting edge, they are way behind the times. I also found the the preponderance of advice leading to use of medication was not of interest to me.
