Can you please provide a link to this study? Otherwise your post is neither substantiated nor helpful.

Here's a summary of a 2012 stud y that shows a significant decrease in adults with recently dxd T2 over a 2 month period. Their a1cs went from 8% to 7.1%.

I saw a great response somewhere else after someone posted something controversial with no proof. If there's no peer review (study), then it doesn't exist.

I'm glad folks are looking for peer-reviewed studies to support recommendations. I'm curious how you stay on top of the latest research. Are there specific magazines or websites that you routinely read for updated information? ~Lynn @Glucerna

mrscora01 replied to glucerna's response:
Lynn, my main focus these days is kidney and transplant issues, so I subscribe to professional magazines. As for a lot of other stuff, I take what I read on message boards with a grain of salt and basically just do some searching on Medline.

I also always make sure I have some time with my specialists for them to tell me about the latest research that has caught their eyes. I've worked hard to be treated like a peer, rather than a patient.

I really like the way you're proactive and do research searches yourself, and then talk with your physicians about research as well. I always appreciate it when someone asks me about a scientific study and is interested in applying the latest information to their own situation. ~Lynn @Glucerna
