hot showers and diabetes

Whether you have regular diabetes or gestational (pregnancy) diabetes, I recommend that you do not take a hot shower after you eat within the time frame of checking your blood sugar, because it will make you blood sugar go a lot higher than it needs to be. So if you take a hot shower during this time and you check your blood sugar less than 30 minutes of taking a shower, you will see what I mean.

Not sure what you mean by "regular" diabetes, but I have T1 and hot showers never affected my glucose.
