While this is the only diabetes specific community with a health professional at this time, we do have some other communities of interest to people on this exchange:

Two Member Communities-with excellent members:
Type 1 Diabetes Community
Diabetes and Kidney Community

Some great expert communities:

Fitness and Exercise -with Rich Weil, who in addition to being a fitness pro is also a certified diabetes educator and can address exercise related questions for people with diabetes.

Food and Cooking Elaine Magee is a dietitian and has written a book called Tell Me What to Eat if I Have Diabetes-that I personally love. She also is a whiz at converting unhealthy family favorites into something healthier while still tasting yummy.

Diet An excellent community with expert Dr. Pam Peeke who is incredible and has some great ideas on getting your MIND in gear as well as your body.

Currently (through August) we have guest expert Dr. Judith Wurtman who has written a book called the Serotonin Power Diet and specializes in losing weight when on antidepressants and talks about just why some diets make you cranky. (Note: This may not be an appropriate diet for people with diabetes--I have gotten a copy of the book but haven't finished it--but very interesting research behind it and the expert can address the questions you have related to depression and diet.)
