    Hemp Tortillas - Great!
    xring posted:
I found these yesterday & tried one today with lunch. I think they taste much better than those low carb tortillas while being almost as low in carbs. 16 Carbs, 5 gms fiber, 8 gms protein. They're made by "French Meadow Bakery." ( )

I get La Tortilla Factory Smart & Delicious Soft Wraps. They are whole grain and have 100 cal. 18 carb, 12 fiber and 9 protein. Even if you use 1/2 of the fiber count it works out to 12 effective carbs. I use them to make quesadillas, veggie tacos, and wraps for all types of sandwiches. They have a good flavor, and hold together well. They also grill well.

I have never heard of hemp tortillas.

I have had hemp milk though. Add 3 shots of espresso and you will get a caffeine buzz!!

I use the same La Tortilla wraps Betaquartz does.

Sometimes I use Don Pancho high fiber low carb. 15Grams carbs, 7 grams fiber.

Wow! Who'd have ever imagined there was something made of hemp you could roll up and consume?
    betaquartz replied to RealityBytes's response:
We really don't want to go there do we? Consumming hemp?
    xring replied to betaquartz's response:
Well, I've been eating the hemp tortillas for 3 days now & I haven't had a buzz yet.
    betaquartz replied to xring's response:
I'm sure you won't. It is just when Reality was so enthusiastic about rolling it and consuming it, well. . . . .
    rebitzman responded:
Might be helpful - except that French Meadow Bakery has been kinda shut down for deceptive advertising. To their credit, they ARE reported to be cooperating with the FDA to correct packaging and website errors as to nutitional values of their foods.

Seems they overstated a few things JUST a tad.

Found this out through the link you supplied.
    Louise_WebMD_Staff responded:
Note: Avoid the hemp tortillas if you are looking for a new job that might require a drug test-hemp foods and poppy seeds make for false positives.
    betaquartz replied to Louise_WebMD_Staff's response:
Good thought on the avoidance if in job search. I hadn't thought of that, but then I'm retired!
    Louise_WebMD_Staff replied to betaquartz's response:
My daughter is a fan of hemp milk and is job hunting, so has switched to soy for the time being. Easier to avoid than to explain and retest.
Laurie Anderson, MSN, RNP, CDOE replied to Louise_WebMD_Staff's response:
Actually avoidance is not necessary; this may be of interest:
    Kind regards, Laurie
