I have a great recipe for low carb bread

100g Almond meal/flour
100g Flax seed meal/flour
4 tbs wheat bran
2 tbs whole wheat flour
300g low fat greek yoghurt ( Quark )
8 egg whites ( I use 1 cup egg from carton )
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt

mix all ingredients ( will be very wet dough ) , line loaf pan with parchment paper sprinkle sunflower seeds and then fill in the dough, sprinkle a few more seeds on top and bake at 300F for 1 1/2 hours

it is very dense but delicious, the ingredients I use come to about 28 total carbs and I get 14 slices of bread , make sure you count yours since different brands have different carbs

I wonder if this could be made in a bread machine as well?

Thank you for sharing!

Haylen - if your bread machine has a "quick bread" setting, then you should be able to do it.

Did not work in my bread maker , but it is a very simple one.
It just did not bake long enough, depending on the oven it will take about 1/12 h to bake, although my friend made it in a fairly new oven and it took only 1 hour.

When baking now, I use high maize corn flour to replace part of my flour content, it is very high in fiber.
