Tip for Less Severe Neuropathy Symptoms

I was diagnosed with Type 2 over eight years ago and have been lucky enough to control my disease with weight loss, diet and exercise alone, so far. However, I do have occasional annoying tingling in my foot at bedtime. I have found that rubbing capsaisin cream into the foot (not between the toes!) before bed takes care of the problem.

I put my hand inside a plastic bag to massage in this potent cream, so I don't risk transferring the cream from my hands to any other area on my body.

I'm glad that you found relief for your feet! I looked up capsaisin and found more information from the WebMD Pain Management Health Center: Capsaicin is the ingredient found in different types of hot peppers, such as cayenne peppers, that makes the peppers spicy hot. It can be eaten raw or cooked or as a dried powder, which you can add to food or drinks. It also is available as a dietary supplement and in topical creams that you apply to your skin.
