I always thought fasting insulin was more important.Looks like I was wrong.

Several early prospective studies of three cohorts of middle-aged men demonstrated that elevated insulin levels are associated with an increased risk of CHD independent of other cardiovascular risk factors.1 2 3 However, more recent evidence does not support these findings.4 5 6 7 8 Thus, whether hyperinsulinemia directly enhances cardiovascular risk is now less certain.9 "
