    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

Saw on the Dr. OZ show the other day to lose weight add raspberry keytone to your healthy diet & exercise plan, a weight lose expert was saying all her clients take this. I was wondering what Dr. Peeke thought about this. I've never heard of Dr. Oz or Bob Greene talk about this when Oprah was trying to lose weight. Anyone out there using this?I heard some people get heartburn while others it gives diarhea. Thanks

Hi and thanks so much for your posting. A little Raspberry ketone 101. R ketones give this fruit their aroma and are used in the USA as a flavor. In Japan, they're used as weight loss supplements. It's felt that the R ketones somehow alter lipid metabolism. This is all based on two small mice studies and the R ketones have never been studied in humans. Sure you can eat raspberries instead, but it will take 90 pounds of them to equal the daily dose of the supplements suggested by Oz on the show.

My recommendation is save your money, take a brisk walk and get the same results!

    Dr. Peeke,

Can men try Rasberry Ketones as well. I know its about women's health, but what about men?

What if you have health issue that prep vent one from exercise. I have severe spinal issues that the doctors are trying to diagnose, but in the mean time, I have had to quit personal training and all exercise. I eat healthy foods. If you have a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated!!,

    Hey Oreo2012,

You've responded to a discussion about a diet product. Why don't you start a new discussion (using the orange "Post Now" button up there ^^^^) and address Dr. Peeke with your question?

That way, others who have similar experiences can weigh in as well...
