trouble keeping wieght off

I lost 50 lbs.on a high protien/low carb. diet. Over the last year its almost all come back. If I try to reduce the caleries, I gain wieght. How can I be gaining , when Im not eating more than 1200 to 1400 caleries a day and Im in the gym 4 days a week. Im almost 60 yrs old, but I liked myself 50lbs ago. Is it too late to change.

Hi It is never too late to change I started my nutrition quest when I was 61 focusing on nutrition as well as calories helps a lot you can get a better result if you weigh and measure everything you eat and moveing around more helps too
