Needing support to loose weight and keep it off.

I'm a stay at home mom and It's so hard for me to loose weight I have gained 40 lbs since I gave birth to my son who is know 2 years old. My husband is always buying unhealthy snacks and since I'm home all the time it's hard to resist them. I also find it hard to get myself motivated to exercise and do yoga. I feel like I already get a workout cleaning house and playing with my son, but I know it's not enough. Anyone have any suggestions...

Hi katie!

I am with you! I was at home with my daughter for three and a half years and now I work from home and have "snack temptation"and motivation issues.

First, my suggestion is one I had to do - have a "sit down this is serious" talk with your husband. You're not only looking after your own health but setting a lifelong example for your son. Where do you do yoga? Is there a family yoga class that you could take with your son? Not the greatest work out but once you start yoga, I bet your body will crave it! Let me know what your fave exercise is and your daily schedule and we'll try and work out something you can stick with - hang in there mamma - the days are long but the years are short

I have told my husband and 22 year old son that I need their help. I don't mind buying their (unhealthy) snacks, but for me, it is "out of sight, out of mind." If they want them in the house, they have to keep them in certain places in the house....and I show them where (for me, it is certain "out of the way/sight" places). It allows them to have their treats, and it allows me to "forget" they are there, because they are not "in my face" all the time.

Win/win!
