Just had a double bypass which causes me to reduce sodium and fat in my daily intake.Can anyone tell me what the daily requirements of sodium and fat I should be?So I wont go overboard in my eating habits? Many thanks for your help.

The AHA advises limiting saturated fat consumption to less than 7% of daily calories and trans fat consumption to less than 1% .

The American Heart Association recommends consuming less than 1500 mg of sodium each day .

Have you asked your doctor for a referral to a dietician? That might be a great way to get your healthy post-bypass diet on track!
