I had my surgery in Jan. 2007, went from 237 to 167, I had my surgery at Baylor in Texas, and 2 weeks after my procedure, I relocated to Florida., so I did not get the counseling and the follow up that I should have had. It was plan to do so when I got down here, but my dog died on the move down here, and 2 weeks later, my mother passed away. and 3 months after that, my mother in law, moved in with us., for 2 years, and we cared for her, until she passed, then my niece moved in for 3 yrs., to go to school, and finally, I lost my beloved sister on June 1st., of this year. She came down here to live with my husband and I and her daughter, to be near the ocean, and everything she loved. Needless, to say, I managed to do the work, and caregive, and lost of the weight in about 7 months. I have now put back on 25 lbs. back on, and am finding it hard to get my mind to go there again. I am not a big drinker, but do so socially, but I know with the sugar, that is probably where the weight has come from, as it has been a tuff couple of years. I would like to know where there are support groups, and also if, anyone has heard of a new procedure called a stomaphyx? It can be done outpatient, and what it is, is they just go in thru your throat and staple your pouch smaller. Pretty much an in and out thing. I would love to hear any suggestions, and stories. Thanks you
