what are the benefits of working out with heavy clothes on? Does sweating more burn calories faster?

Nope. Just the opposite. If you wear heavy clothing (except to keep warm) you'll fatigue (and possibly dehydrate) faster. That means you'll be able to do less work and thus burn fewer calories. Getting overly hot can also place great stress on the heart.

I should add that some wear heavy clothes to sweat a lot but all they are doing is losing water-weight which will be replenished as soon as they have something to drink.
