Addressing Exercise........what if u can't walk? I broke my leg. I already had very bad balance, so crutches are out. When u can't walk about, calorie burning is not as easy to do.

A friend of mine has lost the use of his legs but he is, arguably, in better shape than I and I walk a minimum of 6 miles, everyday, 365/yr. He plays wheelchair basketball, he uses a home rowing machine (simply pulls with his arms), he does pullups and pushups and, finally, he swims long distance.
