Three Ways to Find Out Everything You Need To Know About a Person
brunosbud posted:
1. Play a round of golf with them.
2. Look at what they eat.
3. Peak inside their microwave.

Bonus Answer:
The answer to the following question, "What should I eat if I have ___________ (fill in any condition)."

50% of whatever you normally eat, plus, 50% of any whole food you can find in the grocer's section of a supermarket that doesn't have a label attached to it, plus, 10,000 steps, minimum, per day, everyday, for the rest of your life.

"Labels" are ridiculous and confusing excuses to continue with the silly search for the truth. How do you know if the things you don't consider detrimental to your health, are, in fact, making you sick?

Easy...You take it out of the equation.

Hi there and thanks for your thoughts. I'd love to see your list expanded by more people as well. It's a great way to understand how people truly live.

Here are some more:

1) Open their fridge and freezer
2) Take a look inside their car
3) Take a brisk walk with them (sorry, I'm not a golfer)
4) Look inside the trash can
5) Invite them to the gym with you
6) Go grocery shopping with them
7) Listen carefully for how they refer to themselves

Clearly there's plenty more. Hope others can chime in.

Thanks for getting it started.

This weekend, on one hole, I absolutely "pured" a 200 yard 5 iron, off a cart path, over trees and onto the green...

then, proceeded to three putt from less than 8 feet.

That basically sums up golf: One moment you hit the shot of your life. The next, it pulls your pants down to your ankles for all the world to see. When you're exposed to constant, polar swings of and happiness, one minute, anger and abject humiliation, the can't hide who you really are. On any given day, you can witness the best and worst displays of character on a golf course. That's why I love the game.

Be humble, patient and appreciative of each moment...that's the point. Stop bitchin'; it's not suppose to be "fair".

I'm not a golfer, but I understand what you mean. It's like how people treat secretaries or waiters/waitresses. It tells you a lot about a person's true character. IMHO, you can also tell a lot about the part of a person's character that I care about by how they treat animals.

Obviously, I care more about how people treat others than what's in their trash or the cleanliness of their microwave. Those things basically only impact that person, kindness can change the world.
