    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Keep an eye here and on your email inbox, we'll be back in touch soon to give you all the information you need!

I just found out a few days ago, that I have diabetes2.......I eat very healthy, salads, lots of vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans,,,,,,and for the last 6 weeks, I;ve eliminated bread, potatoes, rice, pasta, pizza and pretzels.......until I get to my goal weight..... I was eating only brown rice and whole wheat pasta., but just too much of it......
Can I eat dark chocolate? Can I have popcorn as a snack? where can I find information about Diabetes,,,,the basics about food, what to eat and when to eat.

Here's the link for the renowned Joslin Center for Diabetes:

Just remember that Type 2 diabetes is condition bought on by unhealthful diet, excessive weight gain and sedentary lifestyle. You asked about "diet", only...

    That's 1 of 3 key controllable factors for T2D.
