New diet making me feel weak

An_252315 posted:
I started a new diet about a week ago. I'm trying to stay within the 1200 calorie/day range and limit carbs. The last few days I have felt very weak and a little dizzy. I am also very sleepy and can't seem to get up on time in the morning any more.

Is there anything I can do to combat the weakness? Maybe certain types of foods or different quantities would help? Or is it something that will just go away as I continue my lower calorie program?

Thanks!

When you lower calorie intake, now, it becomes critical that you make every calorie count from a balanced nutrition standpoint. There are infinite ways to consume 1200 calories. If you don't choose the right way, you'll feel it...

That's why people have a hard time staying on a "diet"...

Can you point me to additional information online for "eating 1200 calories 'the right way'?"
