    The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

    It's considered one of the healthiest diets by the American Medical Association. Dash Diet meal plans are prototypical for not just weight loss, but high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and heart disease, too.

    DASH means Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension.
    The DASH diet is especially recommended for people with hypertension (high blood pressure) or pre-hypertension. The DASH diet eating plan has been proven to lower blood pressure in studies sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.the DASH diet provides additional benefits to reduce blood pressure. It is based on an eating plan rich in fruits and vegetables, and low-fat or non-fat dairy, with whole grains.
