Do you snack between breakfast & lunch?

New research says a mid-morning snack habit could be stalling your weight-loss plan. Check out the link above.

For me, cereal leaves me hungry. Yogurt, fruit and almonds seems to be the "magic" meal to keep me from being hungry.

How about you? Do you have a favorite healthy breakfast that holds off hunger?

Might depend on what that mid morning snack is.

When I was a teenager, a physician MADE me eat a mid morning snack for the sake of keeping blood sugar levels from dropping.

Thanks for posting this Haylen. While I don't do a morning snack, it is still very interesting. I usually have a snack around 4:30pm. My "go to" breakfast is 1/2 C. All Bran with a sprinkle of raisins or strawberries and 1/2 C. reduced fat milk (I still cannot do the skim - yuck!). It generally holds me until lunch. On the weekends, I will scramble an egg and/or have turkey sausage to change things up a bit. For a while, I did yogurt every morning, but I had to take a break. I think the extra fiber and protein from the milk really help with my cereal choice.

I eat a morning snack everyday at work, not so much on the weekends. It is essential because I eat breakfast (greek yougert and berries) at 8 and cannot go for my lunch break until 1:30-2 or later. I eat a hard boiled egg and a piece of fruit (and my cholesterol is perfect since I started the egg, before all my numbers were high)
It depends on what you are eating- as long as you eat things that contribute to good nutition and you are still eating within your calorie count, it can be good for you.
