The Possible Garcinia Cambogia Side EffectsAs with all natural products, garcinia is basically free of side effects if used according to the manufacturer's directions. However, some authorities believe that some side effects can be attributed to garcinia cambogia at therapeutic doses. These include:
[br>- Hypoglycemia: This is a medical term for reduced blood sugar levels. It can cause serious problems such as interference with daily activities, concentration and mental performance.[br>- Headache: This is perhaps the most common garcinia cambogia side effect. The headaches are chronic and tension type.[br>- Liver damage: This may manifest with yellowing of the eye, mucus membranes and the skin as well as discomfort in the area of the kidney.[br>- Skin rash: Some people have reported having developed skin rashes after using this product. This is due to its allergic effects. Gastrointestinal disorders: Garcinia cambogia causes discomfort of the digestive tract as well as feelings of nausea.
While the above-mentioned are the well-studied garcinia cambogia side effects, there are many other anecdotal effects that have been reported. These include increase gastrointestinal gas, abdominal cramps, increased hunger, insomnia, dizziness and restlessness among others.It is also important to remember that there are some situations in which the use of garcinia cambogia is contraindicated. These include pregnancy, breast-feeding, people on medication for diabetes mellitus as well as people with other medical conditions.[br>Before using this product, it is important to consult your doctor to evaluate your candidacy for the product. The verdict is that Garcinia cambogia is safe when used at therapeutic doses and within the recommended time.
