I suppose it may work for some who follow it.

Just be careful with the "unlimited lean protein" and "unlimited non-starchy veg" - you could eat 2000 calories of these unlimited foods in one day if you allow yourself! Portion control should still apply.

I would not be interested, as I think one might as well just stick with a reduced calorie diet (variety of healthy foods) and lots of exercise for as many days as it takes to reach your goal weight anyway! Far simpler and you would lose the weight too.
