Break the Ramen Habit

I can easily get into a habit of buying ramen and eating it. As a processed food-this can truly be one of the worst. High fat and high sodium-on the other hand super inexpensive.

What I do instead is buy pasta-preferably a whole grain or one of the high fiber/high protein pastas and cook it up. It really doesn't take longer. I generally make the whole box at one time-store the rest in the refrigerator and either eat as cold sesame noodles or a light pasta-or add a bit of broth and eat it as a ramen type noodle soup.

Helpful hint-learned from someone who worked in food service at one point-best way to reheat pasta is to run it under hot water in the colander.
