O boy do I need support. On Disability. 29 Live at home...yikes!! and desperatly need to lose the pounds. I never thought I would get like this but such is life. We are all trying to do WW. Which is pretty good. But I just need motivation. I dont have enough money to do what I really want nor am I working or strong enough right to really work out. Being in this house gives you a tone of stress, anxiety, depression and a sense you no self worth. I cant even find a good church down here. Ug. Please keep me in your prayers and any ideas would be great. I have spinal stenosis in the lower neck near shoulder blades, degenerative arthritis in the lower back, arms that tingle and burn , numb, ache and stab , its painful and I think I have the 3 stooges and the Marx brothers for doctors...yikes again. I did see one Chiropractor and he made it worse. Thinking about seeing another one. I am to suggestions. They have ruled out everything you can think of. And its Tests..see me in a month...heres a pill...and in the mean time Im putting away the pounds, friends are gone. no social life, and staring at my folks. Which God love em are great, but Im too old to be living here. Its so humiliating. God bless- Kelly

Wow, it sure sounds like you have a lot of challenges. Congratulations on getting yourself going in the right direction. Our Newcomer Tips may help you with some ideas and suggestions.

Is there some group you could join that could help get you out of the house and meeting others? Perhaps a book club? Maybe a quilting, crosswords, or even birdwatching club? If you like chess or Dungeons and Dragons, try looking for those!

Maybe making small challenges for yourself would be helpful? Something like "I will walk around my house once a day, three times this week." "I will organize the CDs and DVDs in my room." "I will donate any clothes that don't fit me." I have found making little goals that become little successes, helps to keep me motivated.

I would encourage you to try and see a rheumatologist for the arthritis. They often work with pain management specialists to help with the discomfort.

Hopefully others will have some suggestions for you, too.

Pounds off since December 2009= 30lbs. At this rate, it will be years until I reach goal, so I hope you don't mind having me around for a spell.
