    Exciting News for WebMD Members!

We've been busy behind the scenes building new message boards for you. You'll have new and easier ways to find messages, connect with others, and share your stories.

And, this will all be available on your smartphone or other mobile device!

What Do You Need to Do?

The message board you're used to will be closing in the coming weeks. While many of your boards will be making the move to our new home, your posts will not. Want to keep a discussion going? Save posts you want to continue (this includes your member profile story), so that you can re-post them in the new message boards.

Lost 80 pounds, gained back 17...and still had 10 to go!

I have been significantly overweight since I can remember...possibly the third grade or so. In December 2009, I joined a gym and started the south beach diet, and over the course of 2 years, lost about 80 pounds. Then during 2011, I entered a long term relationship, had a medical procedure, and then indulged during the holidays to gain back 20 pounds...and I'm pretty beside myself. It was one of my biggest fears to gain the weight back once I got into a comfortable situation.

My clothes don't fit, I'm hiding in my boyfriend's sweaters, and I even had to buy bigger jeans!

So needless to say, it's time to get back on the horse. I'm weighing in abround 167 pounds and it's my goal to get down to 140 pounds by the end of May- really, I'd like to drop the 17 pounds that I gained back within 6 weeks so that I can feel attractive again. Losing weight was the most freeing and confidence boosting experience of my life, and I hope that joining a community like this will help me.

    Best of luck to all...
